TOWIE Star Plans To Renovate Essex Hotel

Thursday, November 24th, 2011
The Only Way Is up for Mick Norcross as he reveals his extensive plans to renovate a hotel in Essex.
The TOWIE star’s latest challenge involves a dilapidated hotel in Leigh-On-Sea and the club owner, alongside his son, plans to transform it into a plush boutique hotel.
The venture is anything but an easy ride given the state of the property but the 48-year-old expects to make-over the rundown Victorian Grand Hotel into a boutique hotel, restaurant and spa. The Essex celeb bought the debilitated property for £4.3million and is reportedly ploughing £3million into the project.
Work on the building is said to begin in January 2012 and while Mick focuses on the main hotel, it is reported he has given his lad Kirk, 23, the responsibility of setting up the spa.
The businessman has stressed that he thinks the building, which was built in 1896, is beautiful and that he has no intention to turn it into a club or pub. He currently owns the Sugar Hut club in Brentwood.
From photos released to the public, the inside of the property is in desperate need of some TLC and the exterior of the building over the years has deteriorated due to vandals breaking in and destroying parts of the hotel. The hotel has been boarded up for three years when the previous owners went into administration.
Robinsons International specialise in business removals as well as home removals, so after the project is complete our expert services would be more than qualified to move all the new furniture and antiques in. It would be proper to restore some of the old Victorian structures and install features of the archaic era into the new décor.
Our reputation for care and security means that we are also able to offer full transit insurance to all our clients- so ‘contact us’ today and let us move all your fittings and fixtures into your business.

Leicestershire County Council Saves £850,000 By Relocating Offices

Friday, September 23rd, 2011

Leicestershire County Council has the aim of saving a massive £79 million over the next four years.

And it plans to do so by relocating offices and saving £850,000 per year just by simply moving space.

The local authority in the East Midlands is cutting running costs and improving its services by relocating to other buildings.

The County Council’s office strategy is to have fewer, better quality, more efficient and better used offices.

It has refurbished one space in the town to accommodate more than 100 council staff, to improve services to the public whilst cutting its costs. It’s said to be the future for council services-joining things together to make them more accessible and easier to use.

Now a social services office will also house the Citizens’ Advice Bureau and a day centre.

Of the almost £80 million the council must save over the next four years due to government budget cuts, £57 million of it is coming from simply working more efficiently. They are further saving £2.4 million from a review of ICT, £2 million from a review of communications, and £7 million from a review of management and administration.

Europe’s Largest Mega Mall Opens

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

Some major business removals have taken place in London, with the launch of a brand new £1.4 billion shopping centre.

As Europe’s largest new mega-mall, it is set to be the Olympic gateway for the 2012 Games.

Thousands of shoppers descending on Westfield Stratford mall, in east London, as part of the star-studded opening ceremony at the weekend, which attracted stars such as London’s Mayor Boris Johnson and Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger.

Pixie Geldof and Nick Grimshaw declared the centre open and now customers can shop in the stores 300 shops which include the likes of John Lewis, M&S and Waitrose.

Olympic and Paralympic athletes turned up to sign autographs as it is reported the mall will show the main sporting events during the Olympics as well as travel updates and news.

Boris Johnson said: “Westfield’s Stratford City project is setting the pace for the transformation of east London. It is one of the most important legacies of the 2012 Olympics.

“It will create 18,000 jobs and, as a result of Westfield’s investment, have some of the most modern additions to London’s public transport infrastructure.”

The huge commercial removals will have had to move all the furniture into the 70 cafes and restaurants in-store. There is also a 14-lane bowling alley, a 17-screen 3D Vue cinema, and the UK’s largest casino. Furthermore, there are three on-site hotels which include 617 rooms so the amount of staff needed to move all the fittings in, would have been great.
