She recently underwent throat surgery for a haemorrhaged vocal cord but it seems multi-award winning singer Adele is still living in fear of harming her voice.
The 23-year-old is reportedly considering moving out of England’s capital over fears that the smog is damaging her singing voice.
The “Rolling in the Deep” songstress, who was born in Tottenham, is said to be looking at properties in West Sussex between £2 and £3 million.
Ironically, the London girl rose to fame with her first hit “Chasing Pavements” in 2007 which stated the lyric: “I like it in the city when the air is so thick and opaque.”
The English songwriter underwent an operation in Massachusetts in America last month and although it reportedly went well, doctors have warned her to take good care of herself. A source told the Mirror that it was suggested to her to move out of the city into the countryside, away from London’s smog and pollution.
Perhaps the Grammy award winner should listen to the doc’s advice. Adele’s second album, 21, is the tenth best-selling LP the UK has ever seen. The track “Rolling in the Deep” was the top-selling digital song sold in 2011 and sold more copies than any other song in the calendar year in digital history.
The Official Charts Company announced that Adele is the first living artist to achieve the feat of two top five hits in both the UK Official Singles Chart and the Official Albums Chart simultaneously since the Beatles in 1964.
‘21’ spent 11 consecutive weeks at number one in the UK, the longest ever by a female solo artist on the UK albums chart, surpassing Madonna’s nine weeks at number one in 1990. As of December 2011, including both of her albums, Adele has sold 18 million albums worldwide.

According to a new study, more than half of Brits want to live in a country house.
Findings by a property website called Prime Location reveal that 50% of Britons secretly dream about living in the countryside in a house with grand period features and designs.
The survey of 5,370 home buyers showed that despite nine out of 10 people living in towns and cities and less than 10% having homes in rural areas, the majority of homeowners in the UK want to escape to the outskirts.
The study found that 57% of Briton’s ideal home is a detached house with a large garden which is near to countryside walks and overlooking a picturesque view. The average price of the most desired home is £523,866.
Further results from the research show that almost two thirds of Brits want a large garden and that 39% want to live in a good community. Only 25% of those surveyed would like to be near a pub and a third would like to reside near shops.
Being eco-friendly was an important factor in home location and one in five people want their house to be ‘green’ with insulation and solar panels. What is more, 11% need to dwell near a gym or restaurant.
The survey suggests that more families want to escape city lifestyle for a calmer existence in the countryside.
