We have won the most prestigious award in the international relocation industry for the second year running!
Robinsons Relocation scooped the ultimate accolade from the industry, the ‘International Moving Company of the Year’ Award, at the annual EMMA (Expatriate Management Mobility Award) Awards at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London in November.
It puts us, as a specialist shipping company, firmly on the map as a prestigious global supplier of relocation services.
Managing Director Anthony Robinson, of the international removals company, paid tribute to Robinsons’ staff saying: “I am absolutely thrilled, delighted and proud at our success. Winning the ‘International Moving Company of the Year’ Award for the first time last year was an outstanding achievement, the culmination of a long journey and an enormous amount of hard work by all of us who work for Robinsons.
“But as everyone knows, it’s even harder to retain an award than to win it the first time, especially as we were up against some incredibly tough competition who were all chasing after our crown! So to hold them all off and win again is truly remarkable. It was extremely satisfying that the judges saw that we have something special to offer to the market.
“These awards are for everybody who works for us. Their dedication and determination has been fully recognised within our industry at an international level, and everyone can hold their heads up and be proud that they work for the industry’s finest.”

The U.S Coast Guard is advising cargo ships to move shipping lanes in the Santa Barbara Channel to protect whales.
Whales are reportedly feeding in the Channel Islands National Marine Sanctuary off the Pacific Coast of the United States and therefore the Coast Guard is recommending the shipping industry to shift lanes.
Endangered blue, fin and humpback whales have been congregating to feed on kill near Santa Cruz and Sana Rosa islands and so federal wildlife officials and conservational groups are endorsing that by moving it will help to preserve the marine environment.
Experts worry that the presence of the whales will put the marine mammals at greater risk of colliding with the bulky vessels and ferry goods. Four blue whales were struck and killed near the Channel Islands sanctuary in 2007 which resulted in authorities issuing notices for ships to slow down.
Environmental groups have petitioned to establish a ship speed restrictions through California’s four national marine sanctuaries.
As an international shipping company Robinsons offers worldwide shipping, so any speed limits that are being proposed to be put in place are important to us.
Our expert shipping to USA services could possibly be affected by such move and we are always keen to stay up-to-date with industry news and regulations.

It is not uncommon for many couples across the world to build their own homes out of bricks, wood and concrete but one family has gone to the extreme and created their own house out of several shipping containers.
The Glennon family decided to build their own home from a stack of shipping containers to retire to a life in boxes just outside of Rimbey, just north of Calgary in Canada.
The family allegedly got fed up after scouring the market for years, touring show homes and attending home and design shows but were unable to find anything they liked for under $1 million.
However, an article in a local newspaper gave the household the crazy idea to turn a shipping container into a home. And it helped that the father was a former scaffolder and carpenter, so he could put his construction abilities to work.
Their new 5,000 square-foot home comes complete with four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a games room and media rooms, garage and workshop. And the four-storey building, which has two levels above ground, also includes a massive garden on the eight-hectare property.
The plan is to reportedly cover the exterior of the 30 shipping containers with the material stucco, to make it look like a regular home.
The couple, who are in their late 50s, started excavation in September 2009 but to date the property is still in-complete. They had the containers shipped from Calgary to their property.
The containers- which are economically sound and structurally practical- have had insulation systems installed as well as energy efficient windows, solar panel systems and a wind generator. Their main source of heat will come from a solar hot water heater.
Now Robinsons are an expert international shipping company but we use the containers themselves to transport your belongings, safely and securely.
As a trusted shipping and container shipping firm, we provide a fast, efficient and secure global shipping service to meet your individual needs. Our shipping container services are second-to-none; so register your details today.
