Removals Help: Moving House With The Children This Summer

Thursday, August 4th, 2011

With the kids off school for the summer holidays, now looks a better time than ever to move house.

Moving home is a stressful process and it can be worse when dealing with the children’s homework and timetable.

But by hiring a removals firm and relocating during the summer period when school is out, the youngsters can be better prepared and they can even help.

Make the transition as smooth as possible by enabling the children to help with the packing of boxes and assure them if they are moving schools, they will make new friends.

Involve the offspring as soon as possible with age-appropriate responsibilities such as asking them to put their toys in boxes or hold on to the dog when the removals team arrive.

Or even before this stage ask them for their opinion on the new home i.e. would they like a similar back garden size or want a bigger sized room. Giving them special roles is important so they feel the move is a family thing and not something simply happening to them.

Concepts such as these will ease the child and make them feel more secure in the move and look upon it in a positive way so they are moving to somewhere rather than moving away.

Show them the new neighbourhood beforehand and point out all the fun spots so it seems less new and intimidating when you move.

If you are involved in the local church at your present location, check out the new spiritual places before you move and if possible register your children in local hobbies or classes in advance such as rainbows or scouts, so from the get-go they meet new friends.

Be honest with the kids in where you are moving to, when, how and what the new house is like; stating obvious truths like these makes the move less obtrusive and cagey.

Moving home is a fun and exciting new stage of a life so why not reflect this with the removals and decorate the kid’s moving boxes in bright and funky colours? And suggest that the child carries their favourite toy or comfort blanket during the move to reassure them not everything is changing.

Robinsons International can help maintain the daily routine as we will do all the hard work for you. So stick to the family schedule throughout the moving process and let us take care of all the odds and ends!

Moving House? Buying Jeans Is More Stressful

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

According to a latest survey, 43% of women said that buying a pair of denim jeans was more stressful than moving house.

From bum cleavage to a saggy bottom, finding the right jeans can be a difficult task; especially as not one size fits all.

But a study of 1000 women by online retailer isme.com has revealed that purchasing denims actually leaves ladies feeling more anxious than moving property.

The findings showed that for those aged over 50 it is the most traumatic experience of all clothes-buying-practises and that the top thing which makes consumers feel fat is skinny fits.

Fashionable denim brands make shoppers appear overweight it was claimed and the cuts displayed too much ‘bum cleavage’.

Loose Women presenter Lynda Bellingham, isme.com brand ambassador, said: “We’ve all been there, trying to squeeze into the skinniest of jeans or doing up a pair to find they create that dreaded muffin top.”

The 62 year-old added: “50+ women still want fashionable clothes, outstanding choice and prices to suit all budgets – and one that understands what looks good on a more mature woman’s shape.”

So are you one of the hundreds of women who think that buying jeans is more stressful than moving home? Robinsons International can’t quite help in the fashion department but we sure can ease you of any worry or hassle when it comes to moving house with our expert removals service!

TOWIE’s Lauren Pope Wears Jeans And Heels To Move Out Of Ex’s House

Tuesday, July 19th, 2011

Most people hire removals firm and wear the baggiest jogging bottoms they can find to move out of a house, but that wasn’t the case with The Only Way Is Essex star Lauren Pope.

The model-turned- DJ was spotted wearing skinny jeans, a low-cut top and high heels when moving all her belongings out of the house she lived in with her now ex; TOWIE co-star Kirk Norcross.

The 27-year-old smiled for the paparazzi as she moved out of the property in Chigwell, Essex. She hoisted the boxes out of the house accompanied by her best friend DJ Tommy Clark, following her split from Kirk earlier this month.

The aspiring celebrities started dating in November last year when Kirk hired the blonde to appear at his night club Sugar Hut. However, after the couple had ‘his and her’ nose jobs in June this year, they soon announced their break-up, blaming a lack of chemistry for the breakdown in the relationship.

A statement released at the time read: “Unfortunately, Kirk no longer felt committed towards Lauren and decided the right decision for both parties was to separate. No other party is involved in this decision, and they hope to remain friends moving forward.”

The reality stars both own a bulldog puppy called Bozo so what they plan to do with shared responsibility and where the dog will live, is still up in the air. Lauren had moved into Kirk’s home earlier this year after he had presented her with a house key in an episode on the hit show.

The duo seemed more serious than ever after rumours of an engagement spread like wildfire after they were pictured shopping for wedding rings.

Nonetheless, if you are suffering a split and are enduring the painful moving out process; use Robinsons International to move all your possessions out. It is much safer than trying to walk and carry boxes at the same time as wearing heels!
