Experts have advised that people looking for a property in France could find themselves purchasing a good property.

Research by Shelter Offshore, suggested that the French housing market will be able to provide potential buyers with the opportunity to secure ‘an excellent purchase.’

People looking to move abroad for investment reasons were advised by the website that there is money to be made from rental yields  with the French country been regarded as a holiday favourite especially among British citizens.

Passports and Permissions

Make sure that your passport is up to date and that you have visas and permissions in place to enter the country that you are planning to move too. EU citizens shouldn’t have to worry too much about visas and passports because of the free movement act within the EU; however if you are relocating from the UK to the US or Australia you will need permission to live in the country and need to have a passport that is valid for at lease 12 months.

Changing Residence Status

One of the biggest and most important hurdles when relocating abroad is giving up residency in the old home country and establishing residency in the new country. Inform tax offices of departure and arrival and make sure you are aware of the formalities involved in changing residency or you could face a few fines along the way.

Stay Healthy

You may be moving to a country whereby certain inoculations may be required before the departure. Find out about health insurance plans and the health system that is available overseas. It may be necessary to take out private health care cover and keep money aside in  case of future health requirements.

Keep in pocket

Moving abroad can be expensive. Open a bank account abroad and take credit references from credit card and banks back home to establish your credit rating overseas. Brazil looking a top spot to move abroad

As more and more Brits look to move abroad, many travel agencies, removals companies etc are looking into the most popular places that people are moving too and are finding that Brazil is becoming a popular place.

The South American country is an attractive location for people who are looking to make an investment on their property purchase, according to Les Calvert, director at Property-Abroad.com.

The country’s economy has been reported to be growing well.

“For investment purposes, it is a growing economy, prices are still reasonable and there is definitely a market there for Brazil,” Mr Calvert explained.

Those people looking to move a little closer to home, the expert has suggested that Europe still has a variety of great deals, however they are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Rightmove Overseas recently found that searches on properties in Spain, Italy and the UAE have fallen since the recession, with searches in Germany and the Netherlands increasing.
