According to new figures, two thirds of British women are bored with their lives and many dream of moving to Australia, Canada or elsewhere in Europe as an escape.
The study carried out by Elaine Smith of Florette Fruit’s marketing department surveyed 3,000 women and found that most were fed up with the list of chores they had to do when they returned home from work each day, complaining about their lack of holidays and time to themselves.
A third of those questioned said they wanted to move abroad seeing it as a common solution to the daily drudgery of life. Moving to Australia or South Africa where the sun shines daily and most people spent time outdoors is the most attractive prospect for most people liking in the UK.
Smith said that women’s dissatisfaction with life stems from the fact that they are so busy trying to juggle family and work life. She added, “It’s no surprise two-thirds of British women are bored with their lives and half are sick of doing the same thing day in, day out. Women have lost the get-up-and-go to try something different.”
