Robinsons achieves ISO 14001
23 December 2008
Robinsons, the removals specialist, has underscored its reputation as an environmentally-conscious company having achieved ISO 14001 accreditation this week. This award further supports Robinsons’ commitment to sustainability, both in its own business practice and the service it offers its customers.
The ISO 14001 standard is an internationally-accepted specification for environmental management systems which helps organisations minimise their operational impact on the environment by ensuring they comply with related laws, regulations and requirements.
As part of the efforts to achieve the certification, Robinsons has established its own environmental management system, to ensure that the company's activities and services have minimal impact on the environment. This helps monitor and improve a number of areas that touch on the environment, such as energy efficiency, resource conservation, waste management, chemical control and recycling.
"Robinsons is a company devoted to the environment and sustainability,” says managing director Anthony Robinson. "With this philosophy at our core and adhering to high-performance standards, such as ISO 14001, we are continuously improving our environmental assurance and performance in all business activities to have the least impact on our environment, that of our customers and for future generations."
